This privacy policy describes how troop232.org ("the Site") collects, uses, and protects information you provide when you visit this website or use our contact form. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will never sell or trade your personal information.
1. Who We Are
This Site is operated by Scouts BSA Troop 232, a volunteer youth organization based in Waxahachie, Texas. We are a unit of Scouting America, chartered by a local organization.

a. Contact Form
When you submit the contact form on our "Join Us" page, we collect the following information:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Message subject
- Message body
- Submission timestamp
This information is stored securely in a Cloudflare D1 database and is used solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not share this information with third parties.
b. Analytics
This Site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymous usage data, including pages visited, approximate geographic region, device type, and referral source. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by GA4.
c. Cloudflare
This Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through the Cloudflare CDN. Cloudflare may collect technical data including IP addresses, browser information, and request logs for security and performance purposes. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to contact form inquiries
- To understand how the Site is used (aggregate analytics only)
- To protect the Site from spam and abuse (via Cloudflare Turnstile)
4. Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted from our database. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).

This Site uses cookies for the following purposes:
- Analytics: Google Analytics sets cookies to track session data. You can opt out using your browser settings or a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on .
- Cloudflare: Cloudflare may set technical cookies for security and performance. These are strictly necessary.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.
6. Children's Privacy
This Site is operated by a youth organization. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under age 13. Parents or guardians who submit the contact form do so on behalf of their family. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to this Site, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we have collected from you. To exercise these rights, contact us using the form on our Join Us page or visit us at a Monday meeting. We will respond within 30 days.

This Site contains links to external websites (such as Scouting America, Scoutbook, and BSA.org). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
